EXHIBITION: DO-IT POST-IT
8&A architetti with group “ C’è tutto novembre per pensarci “.
Post-it as an arbitrary and external limit: so a Marilyn of pixels and in the corner a convex and concave cube, according spectators choice.
Optical Post-it, but also classic and chaste and even Pythagorean, and cut, and tied, and hung with a nail, an ironed Post-it, and a black one.
For the big “Nuvolone” wall the rule was giving 100 post-it to each group’s member to work with.
“A reasoned series of inventions, an ironic self-definition in temporal and fatalistic terms…….to consider architecture with painting rules and vice versa, to think about design with the concepts of performance, to approach a visual concept with the methods usually used in writing, and so forth.” ALESSANDRO MENDINI
“Post-it becomes a rap object. This is a magic moment. It’s the moment that a Post-it becomes rhythm”. JOVANOTTI
“This event could be the beginning of a research on the use of these slips of paper”. BRUNO MUNARI

“C’È TUTTO NOVEMBRE PER PENSARCI” ART GROUP 1991-1998
Anna Barile and Antonio Ottoboni, on june 1991, thanks to the great Corrado Levi and together with some other young architects, founded the group “C’è tutto novembre per pensarci ” to explore cultural territories in between Art and Architecture.
From 1991 the group’s work included design, photography, music and comics: contamination between various disciplines was the method to the project, and theoretical “slidings” were paths to the quality.
The group’s peculiarity has always been collective action, never minimizing differences while enhancing each one’s singularity as important step to start from.
After the HIT HOT HAT exhibition in Valdagno, and the TAH TOH TIH in Milan, the group realized the “DOPO ALBINI” book: a collection of avant-garde architectural projects; then the group designed a surreal collection of watches for SWATCH, and created the Do-it Post-it exibithion at Peggy Guggenheim Collection in Venice using just thousands of post-it.
Then after that each member of the group had personal experiences abroad: New York, Los Angeles, Paris, London, Hamburg and got together for the last time in 1998 in Milan performing DAM A TRA’, their last exhibition.
